ABOUT THE ARTISTS

JJ RODGERS

JJ is an accomplished actress/singer/director who now resides in charming Gloucester with her husband Travis, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.   She is a theatre graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) and has appeared on numerous stages throughout the states. Favorite theatre credits include: portraying Ginger Rogers in the World Premiere musical, Ginger and Me, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, the Diva in Spamalot, Goneril in King Lear, Julia in Two Gents, Beatrice in Much Ado about Nothing, Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes, almost every role in Christmas Carol, Mistress Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Mrs. Dashwood/Mrs. Jennings/Anne Steele in Sense and Sensibility, and Tonya/Richelle in the World Premiere musical Scream Queens (to name a few).  TV Credits include: Two and a Half Men, Reed between the Lines, Nashville, The Hank Azaria Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun, The Michael Richards Show, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Caroline in the City, and multiple commercials. She has been in several print ads, voice-overs and performing groups.   Look for her in the feature film, “The Secret Handshake” starring opposite Kevin Sorbo. REBECCA HARTT

Rebecca Hartt is an accomplished musician in her own right. Her musical direction credits include Songs of a New World, Bye, Bye Birdie, Hello Dolly, Meet Me in St. Louis, Sound of Music, Music Man, Annie, Godspell, The Pajama Game, Anything Goes, Spam a Lot, Company, The Marvelous Wonderettes, The Winter Wonderettes and 1776. She recently retired from Walsingham Academy after 15 years teaching religion and music – focusing on Choral and Instrumental studies. She currently sings with the acclaimed choral group “Cantori” and sings and plays alto saxophone with the Ford’s Colony Dance Band. Rebecca is a graduate of Hope College with a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Boston University. She lives in Williamsburg with her husband David and is the mother of 3 adult children. She is so proud to be singing with these “Liberty Dolls.”

BECKY HOGGE

Becky Hogge is a local actor, singer and costume designer.  Her notable roles include, Leisl VonTrapp in The Sound of Music, Martha Jefferson in 1776, Rhetta in Pumpboys and Dinettes, Lexie in The Dixie Swim Club, and Christine Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. She has also worked as a scare actor at Busch Garden’s Howl-O-Scream and costumed many productions, including Into the Woods, The Little Mermaid, Singing in the Rain, Aladdin, and Once on This Island.  She is also the costume designer for the Liberty Dolls.  Becky is very active in her community volunteering with local community theatre groups and the middle school theatre programs. She is a Richmond native, and makes her home in Gloucester with her husband, two high schoolers, two cats and one Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Sir Dashwood Fancypants.

Dana Clark Epstein (Swing/Substitute Liberty Doll)

Dana Clark Epstein was born and raised in Hampton by two wonderfully fun theatrical parents-John and Kathleen. After High School Dana attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts and studied Musical Theatre and Dance. While attending college Dana realized another artistic passion for the Culinary Arts. After many years of restaurant management, Dana attended Johnson and Wales University and earned a degree in Culinary Arts. Dana was fortunate enough to complete her internship in Amsterdam at the Michelin Rated Vermeer Restaurant. After many years Dana and her amazing husband Phillip bought The Grey Goose in Hampton and later opened the Baker’s Wife Bistro in Phoebus. When not working Dana sings in the choir at historic St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Virginia Choral Society. Dana is thrilled to have become a “Liberty Doll” and can’t wait to see what the future brings!
